Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I should have bought both the copies, looked as good as new to me, that I saw last summer-in-Powell's books in Portland, Oregon, for $25 each. Since I already have two copies, and didn't realize what a bargain they were, I didn't buy. I didn't realize the book was so expensive. Actually, with Powell's being one of the largest, and best known, purveyers of used books in the country, I suspect their prices are right on value. BTW,the Barber and Kuehne book (_The North American Darters_) that is also excellent and wonderfully well illustrated that came out just a few months after the Page book is considerably less costly.
