i kept a hellbender sometime back... tho i now understand one is not to do
interesting critter... but far more interesting in their environment.
recently found one in the little pigeon and was told of one seen in the
conasauga... which seems to be out of thier range from petersons and drainage.
eat crayfish and other salamanders. also eat fishing lures.
ive seen one slough off and eat its skin within a couple minutes.
awesome beasts.
