Yeah that's far too big to boil.. you can get a plastic storage tub at
walmart and fill it with hot (as hot as you can from the tap) water every
day until it clears some. You might not be able to get the whole thing in
at once but at least it will help. Activated carbon is supposed to remove
tannins as well, but I've never tried it...
