Steve, the ESA. And you're not ignorant. The ignorance this time was
created by the Bush Administration. It doesn't take much insight to know
this business isn't about citizen lawsuits anyway. The lawsuit approach is
just a facade over an attempt to thwart the ESA anyway. The statement of
the supporter who said that their goal is to use science over litigation is
a clear signal of their real goals; it's all about spin and misinformation
and avoiding science and environmental protection. As an Independent voter
and what I like to think of as open-minded, I genuinely hoped this
administration would be different after the close election results in
Congress and the Presidency. After only a couple of months I am so
disappointed by what I've seen I can't express it. I also think some
people on this list don't want this discussion to get out of hand, so I'm
not going to argue with anyone.
