Locally there is a place called the stone center where I buy slate and
aquarium gravel. It is the same place many pet stores purchase and then
repackage theirs. It is _much_ less expensive there than the local aquarium
store.

The claim to be knowledgable about what is and is not aquarium safe. I have
not investigated purchasing rocks there.

sell some nice rocks, but by the pound the cost adds up real quick. I am

cichlid tank I am starting up. Ideas anyone?? Thanks in advance
