Thanks for sharing this, Jay. The humpback chub is an awesome fish, and in
many ways a symbol a the American West; therefore, efforts to save it should
rank as high as efforts for bald eagle and bison.

I was offended by this statement by one critic of Ted Williams' support of
the (non-native) trout eradication program:

"It is notable that Mr. Williams has aligned himself with individuals that
believe frogs have the same intrinsic value as African Americans and
Holocaust victims."

It's easy to see how it would be difficult to protect this country's
biodiversity when people have attitudes like that.
