Hi,
I've been having terrible luck in my project of catching the locally
abundant Fundulus diaphanous. It's become a seemingly hopeless quest.
So today, I was at Lake Carmi in northern Vermont, playing at the beach
with my kids. My seven year old had her toy butterfly net, swooping it
through the water at silver shiners. She handed it to me, I took a
random swipe at a shadow, and the rest is predictable. Diaphanous look
nice in the sunshine...
It is time for lottery tickets.
