Float some ice packs in the water to hold the oxygen (colder water holds
more O2) & keep water from spoiling and keeps the fish calmer.

I just moved with 5 tanks of fish sizes 13in - 1mm and tanks from
75gal-10gal and have not lost any fish (except for those tiny tiny longear
babies I accidentally flushed!). I used coolers lined with thick plastic
bags to prevent water loss & spillage. I floated mino-mizers attached to
lantern batteries that were taped to the coolers. The big fish were in the
coolers about 8 hours from tank teardown to re-set up. I kept as much
aquarium water in drinking coolers w/ ice packs (I borrowed them & then
bleached them before returning them of course!).

Good luck!

Amy
