Yes, Texas does have some very clear waters. Unfortunately, I can drive to
Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana in less time than it would take to drive
to the San Marcos. I imagine that long ago, pre-development, the Trinity
River ran a lot clearer than it does today but I don't believe that
visibility would be more than one foot in the river right now.
