If you can photograph them, I can make a wild guess. Young redbreasts tend
to have a lower mouth than young bluegills. Young longears have
irridescent vertical barring and a gold/green cast. Young bluegills have a
pointed snout compared to the others. Young dollars are very similar to
young longears, but would normally be found in backwaters.
