Very interesting story, Moon.. Perhaps that old junk is worth something,
eh???....In some cases, much litter makes it's way to a stream via flood
waters literally "swiping" it away from properties.

I can think of another litter source as well.......

Check this out... In some counties in Southern Ohio, there are those who
have no public solid waste removal service. As to whether or not it is
available to them, I don't know, however, I have been told by wildlife
officials that those who have not the waste collection services, that they
use the local stream for a dumping ground! Shame... shame.. shame... We in
NANFA, the last line of defense and voice for native fishes, can all become
stream watchers, and report such activity to local environmental law
enforcement authorities.

Either that.. Orrrrr.... THIS.. looks like a job for ...
DARRRRTERRRMAAAANNNN!! HA! Don't we wish we had such a super hero for our
streams!
