I dont know off hand . Milking roe of some fishes has
been done for ages . It mentions paddlefish having a
market as "bonless catfish " so I would think , in the
case of paddlefish anyhow , that both flesh and roe
are sold . Some use for the lowly males would be
needed . Evey year or two my grandparrents would name
a bull calf after me and then butcher it . Billy the
bull was not a lucky name .
