Before you construct the pond near a unit, get a A.C. person to thoroughtly
clean out the unit. In a related thread on the killie list a guy was
horrified by all the gunk which covered the guts of his three year old unit.
You might want to set up the pond in such a way that you can cover it for
the next A.C. maintenance.

Not a ponder, but I wouldn't put the pond under the unit, even if you don't
have copper coils, despite how some fishheads lust after the demineralized
water off of the A.C. coils. It would be a nightmare getting at the A.C.
unit.

Also, you want to determine where the hot air blowing out would go and how
it might warm the pond.

Don't you love these suburban yards. ;)
