Hello All,

I know that many of you have an interest in coelacanth, so I thought I
would let you know that scuba divers have succeeded in video taping living
coelacanth of the coast of South Africa (they haven't been recorded from
their since the original 1939 specimen.). One diver apparently died in the
attempt. It is fortunate that this new population is in an area already
designated as a nature preserve where bottom fishing is banned.
