It's not out of the question that they're gars. I have, in the past seen fish
labeled "Asian" but it only means the importer got them from an Asian source.
"Asian Discus" might be an example. Otherwise, there are fish that resemble
gars. Many are characins and have an adipose fin (no characins in Asia
though). So.....you're left with "Who Knows What!"
