Gordon, it really depends on your personal preferences. I'm sure you
realize that water in that temperature range would be better for fish from
temperate regions, but a lot of people would have a blast with trying to
reproduce something like an Amazon floodplain. I guess it all depends on
what you like and how much you want to spend to warm and filter the water
and such.

What kind of filtration will you use? What material is your pond made of?
What do you plan to add for substrate, structure and plants?

Why did you release your outdoor fish? Would that pond freeze over? It
would be useful to know where you live because people could give you advice
about your pond and collecting fish and more.
