Yesterday's outing to the Sangamon River was quick and dirty outing.
Three seine hauls revealed ~3 dozen minnow containing four different
species.

The Sangamon had been quite productive and is a beautiful place. In
the past, I have collected:

Esox americanus
Cyprinella spiloptera
C. whipplei
Notropis ludibundus
Pimephales notatus
P. viligax
Ictalurus puntatus
Noturus nocturnus
Pylodictis olivaris
Lepomis cyanellus
L. macrochirus
L.megalotis
L. humilis
P. annularis
Etheostoma asprigene
E. spectabile

These are just a few that I can think of off the top of my head. I
have also collected ~10 freshwater mussels there.
