Oh, btw... "Santa" Crail came early cause she's flying to Florida tomorrow.
The Freshwater Fishes of the Carolinas, et al was among the presents, with
the help of "Santa" Jonah.
It's a nice book and worth the bucks... I _really_ like the format, and
kinda wish all books were done this way! All the color plates are in one
section, which is standard (and the pictures are _fantastic_)... But you
only have one place to look for species info and distribution maps! None of
this eight-teen-hundred different places to look. It's refreshingly
succinct. And boy am I looking forward to seeing fiery black, yellowfin and
sailfin shiners :)
In summary... It's worth picking up, if you'll be heading that direction for
the Convention.
