My cold room general is between 40 & 50 and my basement about 60 so our
tanks are about the same. I have noticed that my northern fish (Michigan)
eat just as much even when the tank is in the 40's Once they got down to 35
at that point the fish were no longer moving. I presume the golden
topminnows are in the 60 degree tanks? The goldens I have kept came from
Florida and most fish I have bought home from there lived but didn't like
temps as low as 60. H. formosa stops breeding at that temp.
