<< Has anyone had any experiene with digital cameras? >>

Not me but I read an article in Popular Photography about 2 years ago. They
did a digital vs film comparison. Bottom line was that film would still be
around for a while: digital cameras (at that time)could not match film
picture quality, power efficiency (digital cameras have high power demands),
or convenience. They're recommendation was something like "if you work a lot
with computers, go digital; if you take a lot of pictures, use film."

There may psychological bias, though. I prefer handling film to pushing
buttons,in the same way I prefer reading a real book to viewing text
on-screen.
