That is good to know. I had thought that they just wanted to snuggle up in
there. So urine is the attractant? Okay. I should be able to hold my
bladder then.

Why, Norm? Do you regularly pee while standing in the water? :-)

I've been swimming in candiru habitat dozens of times. As long as you're not
menstruating (generally not a problem for me) and you get on land before you
urinate, they're not a threat.
