RE: NANFA-- state fish of Ohio

A few years back there was a lengthy and heated(!) debate in the Ohio Senate
and/or House on smallmouth bass vs walleye. Bass supporters were arguing
that the smallmouth contributed to the whole state's economy, while walleye
supporters were arguing about the importance of the Lake Erie fishery.
