Peter Unmack manages the archives. I just send him the list messages every
month and he uses a canned package to sort messages by the reader's choice
of subject, date or sender. He hasn't updated it since October because he
went home for the holidays and is rather busy now. But he has the more
recent files whenever he can get around to it. Anyway, I'm nearly certain
it is easy to change the _at_ to another character like Geoff said, in the
files before processing. But I don't know about the stuff already archived.

There may be confusion in some people's minds between "digest" and
"archive". The digest is the condensed list of nanfa list messages that
some people get by email. That also used to be available on the
aquaria.net website before that server crashed sometime back, but not
anymore. I asked Richard Sexton about it a couple times over the past
months and he's either too busy or uninterested in rebuilding the fishy
part of his site. So in case that's what people are blaming for the spam
problem, that ain't it.

Maybe it's like Todd said-- by the time you see the problem it's already
too late.
