No lake effect?

Reminds me about hearing in American History how
diplomats assigned to Washington DC used to be given
hazard pay and issued pith helmets. It was considered
a "tropical assignment". (pre air conditioning)

Considering that the city is built on a swamp, it
isn't that inaccurate.
