Yup. Jimmy came out with his maybe 3 months before Tunze brought theirs to
market.

He used a Little Giant pond pump that you can find at any Lowes. IIRC it
was the 175 gal/hr pump. He basically removed the impellor housing from the
pump and then the impellor fins from the impellor shaft. He then took a 1"
nylon spacer and tapped one end to accept a nylon screw and then jammed the
other end of the spacer on the impellor shaft. Then he bought a left-handed
radio-control boat prop from an online hobby store and attached it to the
other end of the nylon spacer with a nylon screw. That's pretty much it.
The total cost of the mod was the pond pump ($40), nylon spacer and screw
($1), and left handed propellor ($5). That thing moved a LOT of water.
