since were on the topic of journals and info...

I am looking for some info on breeding of orangespotted sunfish. Ive gone through most of the major taxonmic books ( ohio, tenn, al ) and there is only a paper or to to be had from them on life history. I am really looking for more of a hands on personal account from members if they have had success or not with breeding them. I find that to be often better information without the jargon and getting to the point.

Current situation is -

one male and two females in a 55 gal ( i think ) with a HOT mangum. substrate is medium to large gravel with some fine gravel and sand. it will probably need a little bit more... The male has already begun to sweep out a nest, is in color and one of the females is becoming fairly large. there is an 8" piece of driftwood with a small java fern tied to it and a piece or two of flat rock in the tank.

thanks
