It was someone awhile back that posted "Parasites of North American
Freshwater Fishes" for sale at www.hamiltonbooks.com
Well, a big thank you to you. I purchased the book $12.95 ($95 _at_
amazon) along with several other selections. Total: 5 books, $50.00!
"Parasites" has an excess of 500 pages, In addition to drawings of
the parasites, it also incliudes a number of lifecycle representation.

Lists include Parasites by:
Location in the fish i.e.; lateral line pits Gyrodactlylus cryptarum,
Pelucidhaptor planacrus, Urocleidus adspectus
The parasite groups
Fish and Parasite checklist
Parasites by Fish Species! Wow
Chemotherapy and Prophylaxis of Parasitic Diseases of Fishes
Almost 100 pages of references.

I noted that a number of my Slough darters have had little nodules under
the skin in various locations. Using the Parasites by Fish species
checklist I was able locate a similar species and tenatively ID the
parasite: the metacercaria of Cryptogonimus chili (sometimes misspelled
incorrectly spelled chyli)
