The white sturgeon, Acipenser transmontanus, grows even bigger. Photos
document fish up to 1,600 pounds taken fro the Snake River in southcentral
Idaho near the turn of the century. There are rumors of fish up to 2,200
pounds but are not documented.

I've personally caught (and released) fish up to 11 feet and 600 pounds in
Hells Canyon in recent years.
