Im not sure how much formalin treatments would affect the fertility of
fish, as I have treated a pair of sunfish atleast 4 times for flukes, cured
the flukes, and they have been spawning successfully several times since.
Maybe only certain species are affected, or this may have been caused by
something else other than formalin and blamed on formalin. a saying goes,
" 98 % of people who died in car accidents ate bread in the week before the
crash, therefore bread must be the cause of fatal car crashes" . It
would be wise to apply this logic to anything you here or read ... And
this is not a stab at the person who posted that, just a observation of
mine.
