HOW BIG A HOLE FOR A POND DID NANFA MEMBERS DIG BY HAND ???

I dug a hole about 15 feet by 8 feet by 3 feet at the deepest end. it almost
killed me. hehe. I had to take the dirt in a wheelborrow and roll it up
hill to move it away. it was sloped on the sides so the 8 feet is stretching
it a bit and the deep end was about 36 inches of water and the shallow end
was about 18 inches deep. that is because when the soil changed to harder
soil to dig. i only dug that deep. the part I dug out was easy digging.
hard to move up hill. and still a lot of work moving all that soil.

so I ask you members. how big a hole did you dig with a shovel. ??

That explains it now, sorry my history isn't so great. I think making
someone else dig your pond would take away the pride of a job well done.
My pond might not be 4200 ft by 30 feet deep, but I did it with mine and my
friends own sweat.
