>pipefish in two oxbow lakes of the Mississippi.

The Atlas of North American Freshwater Fishes says that reproducing freshwater
populations of Syngnathus sovelli are known from Santa Fe and lower St. Johns
rivers, Florida, and lakes St. John and Bruin, Louisiana.
