That yellow tape can attract attention from others as well. I take
advantage of modern society's uncaring attitude regarding litter by using
the ever-present blue plastic WalMart bag as a marker. They are common
enough that they don't attract attention even when caught up in a tree but
obvious enough that I can find it easily. Of course, I take it down, fill
it with other trash found in the area and pack it out with me when I am
done.
