Hornyhead chubs ( Nocomis biguttatus) , or redtails (our hornyhead is
related to the true redtail chub ( N. effusus) of the southeast) are not
that bad. I had some with creek chub once and they were better than the
creek chubs. Probably since they were not as large and maybe have different
feeding habits? They are really pretty fish, and do well in aquariums. And,
this illustrates why latin names are important.
