Muskrats are a medium sized water rodent similar to beaver but without the
broad tail. Their tails are flat but not very wide. A great many fur coats are
made from muskrat. Most people who eat them think muskrat is the best wild meat
they have ever eaten. We used to call them swamp rabbit for all those who
were to weak of stomach to eat anything with rat in the name. Yes, I am 49 years
old.
