Lest everyone think I'm a terminal slacker, I should be able to scout out
camping sites for the Sipsey trip on Friday. I've found a web site with
camping sites in the Bankhead National Forest (4 or 5) ranging from totally
unimproved for free, to sites designed for fat*ss RV "camping" for
$11/night. One site that attracted my attention is Owl Creek, for $5/night,
no reservations, with 13 campsites including toilets and fresh water (I
forget if it has showers...). This is also the closest to where we want to
be stream-wise. I hope to be able to report back Friday evening. And I'm
glad you can make it, Doug!
