NANFA-- ohio nanfa meet 2001
Mon, 23 Jul 2001 17:54:52 EDT

hi everyone...
i just got back from a great trip w/ jay delong. we were able to snorkle the
conasauga and the tellico in all their glory. even tho visibility was reduced
we had a wonderful time. one of us will try to assemble a post w/ photos for
everyone when we get a chance.
jay was one of the blessings i received from hosting nanfa's conference in
1998. he is among the many friends ive aquired since that time. it is a
tremondous amount of fun for me to share with them when they can visit...
exploring, netting and snorkling these wonderful regional waters. when i
first started doing this i prayed that i would find some friends to share
this with and i surely have.
ive heard that a few folks will not make the ohio trip... :( gee wiz... and
registration is, as usual, folks waiting to the last minute. and i understand
procrastination and last minute plans... but this was very hard on me as far
as planning facilities, logistics and expenses. please make it easier for rob
and show him the gratitude for undertaking this project which benefits ALL OF
US! get registered pronto. it is going to be a great time! the facilities
sound very comfortable, beautiful and relaxing. no big city hyperness... we
are already in nature, right by new waters for us to explore. excellent
speakers, activities... we can even have a few local brewed beers in the
evening and not worry about driving somewhere. walk out under the stars. see
new sites. get wet. eat good food. enjoy our old friends and meet new ones.
see and understand our fish. learn to care for them better. build them better
habitats and aquariums/vivariums
after attending the last 2 conferences and hosting the 98 get together i
think this may be the funnest yet! so come on!, get registered, get ready,
start packing and start planning. im going early so i can spend some time w/
mark binkley, pat johnson and help out rob set this thing up. if anyone wants
to arrive early let me know! we got plans!
