I am interested in shovelnose sturgeon, maximum length is 39 inches but
usually occurs much smaller. They are much more slender and flexible than
most sturgeon and can be expected to grow to about 20" in captivity. I build
large aquariums and I have an aquarium large enough for a couple of these
fish. I usually keep my big fish out doors in the summer in ponds. As for the
paddlefish I would like to get a couple to maybe donate to my local public
aquarium. it one of the few fish native to NC they don't have. It would also
be neat to have a paddle fish in my pond after I train it to eat pellets I
could see it when I feed the fish. I have trained other filter feeding fish
to eat pellets and I have read that paddlefish can be trained to do the same.
