Good thought Jay. Anyone have a species ID on it? Google is just turning up local news stories (this, amazingly, is big news which I'm impressed with... I wish other asian imports like Rhamnus frangula and cathartica were. Lord knows I'm tired of hacking it all.) Otherwise, we could prolly get to the bottom of this matter quickly on the web.

The biologist in the Sunspot article mentioned that Maryland summer
temperatureas are ideal for the northern snakehead to spawn. What does that
mean? Does anyone know about the reproductive biology of that animal
(breeding temperature, egg development, fecundity, etc)? Could Bob have
been wading in cigs and muck too early in the year? Maybe NANFA can get
"really" scientific and do some research and set up a scientific sampling
plan! Can you imagine the PR that may result?!
