Inflatable dam and nude snorkeling, sounds like my kind of place ;-) I bet
the jet skiers do churn up the water. I used to snorkel a lot in a lake near
here called Silver Lake. At the time is was pristine and clear as crystal I
would float in the shallows and sometimes bass would slide up under my chest
and wait there like I was a big log or something. I could feel their dorsal
fins waving back and forth and if I moved real slow they would say with me.
One day a guy brought a boat about 20' long and put it in the lake. He
stirred it up like a mixer. It took a couple of weeks for it to clear back
up. his boating even messed up the thermocline. I don't think I have ever
seen an inflatable dam. Is your reef above the lake water or does the water
level change on your reef change with the seasons? It would be cool to get a
wet suit and dive there in the winter and see who is there when the water is
cold. A wet suit might solve the twigs sticking to your shirt too.
