If you have a photo of that hybrid sunfish "Yourguessisas goodasmineis" I
can probably ID it. I have been getting pretty good at doing this. Odds are
for starters you can narrow it down to fish only found in that body of
water. That is the easy part. The hard part is depending on which parent was
male and female can create strikingly different results in the hybrid young.

Hybrids are good aquarium fish, usually very colorful and not shy to eat. I
have a select couple of hybrids now, greenXpumpkinseeds and Warmouth X
bluegills. I raised the greenseeds from young smaller than a dime, and the
wargills are from a recent fishing trip. The wargills eat pellets like I
bought these fish from a hatchery.
