It is a female. It's tank mates are a 13" bullhead (it also grew from 3-4
inches) and a longear sunfish male that seems very compatible. In addition, I
made a mistake a while back and tried to feed some 1 inch Convict cichlids to
them. Not a good idea because I now have several breeding pairs of Convicts
in that tank and the sunfish and bullhead do not eat the baby Convicts. Any
body want some Convict cichlids.
