anyone interested...
repost w/ corrections, modifications...
several nanfanians are going to be meeting at big south fork at the top of
tennessee friday june 29 evening, spending saturday june 30 in the area and
leaving july 1 sunday morning. i will try to arrive midday friday, scout and
snorkle, get a motel room in oneida and rendevous saturday morning. i will
probably linger and explore my way home sunday back south to chattanooga.
this is a state or federal park which i visited several times a few years
ago. there is a site there... leatherwood ford... a bridge crossing which ive
snorkled with interest. im still unsure about collecting there regulations
wise beyond a required tn license... i dont think we will be allowed too, we
will have to find another location nearby for anyone desiring to collect.
me... im just as happy observing.
as for directions... this site is nw of knoxville. the closest town for a
motel is oneida which is to the east of the site. at the top, left of page 58
on the tn gazateer.
the rendevous site should be at the back of the parking lot at the
leatherwood ford... the bridge crossing the big cumberland river. from
10-noon saturday.
some people will be camping there friday night... steve ellis and his family
at bandy creek campground site d-3
if anyone wishes to contact me they may do so at 423-624-0721... my biz
number... or in the evenings at 423-485-9541 my home.
