Gulf sturgeon, eh? This is a federally threatened species (actually,
subspecies). The fact that a hatchery is propagating them is not unusual.
(Are they under a federal contract to do so?) But selling them is.
Technically, that's against the law, is it not? (Please, no comments as to
whether you think such a law makes sense.) I'm just curious as to how
this hatchery is getting around a federal reg.
