If none of the other things work, try this method. Feed diced nightcrawlers.
Make sure the pieces are too large for anything but the orange spotted
sunfish. They may be leary of their tank mates, but once they become
accostumed to you as their feeder, they will take to the other foods. It is
important to keep them full of nutrition at this time, since they are under
stress and need the energy. They should gobble the pieces of crawler up.
Crickets could work too, but you have to make sure they are ate before they
find their way out of the tank.
