commercial trade and let people make a livelyhood managing and
harvesting them for commercial sale then no way under heaven barring
some unforeseen calamity would they be allowed to become extinct."
To which I sez: didn't work out so well for the Carolina Parakeet and
Passenger Pigeon, did it?
Maybe it was one of those "unforeseen calamities", like total lack of
regulated takings.
