Here's an afterthougt..........

Due to many attempts, both professional and amateur, to successfully and
repeatedly spawn the Bluenose Shiner, Pteronotropis welaka, all
unsuccessfully, I propose a new name for this species...............

Pteronotropis enigma

I have placed them in outdoor ponds, containers, a 110 gallon tank with
spawning Central Longeared Sunfish, in separate well-planted tanks, ad nausea,
etc. and have not raised the first fry........

Maybe, name them Pteronotropis exasperatia!
