He's right about the mackerel, there's a species in SE Asia that spawns in
the rivers and streams, there is also a large Cyprinid called the Mahseer
orTor tor, this is an andromadus fish that returns to streams and rivers in
the Ganges, Indus and other Indian river systems to spawn.
