I would like to say that the roofing distributor companies will sell you the
rubber roofing and deliver it to your house. it is not too expensive from
the roofing distributor. call several local distributors and get the best
price. Bradco is a distributor in several states which has low prices.

I was thinking about using the ice and water shield to help with the seam
expecially on the underside. however, i suspect that it might be poisonous
and would have to check it out. but put on the under side of the liner
would seem safer.

another trick to consider is to use the 4 mil or 6 mil black plastic from
like home depot and put this on top of the rubber roofing material. then
the water would not touch the roofing material except a small amount if a
hole happened. the problem here is that the plastic will only last one
summer and so the pond would have to be drained and refilled every year.
maybe OK on a small pond but not too good on a larger pond. in this case if
you have a deep spot you can also just line the deep spot with the roofing
material and if the pond leaks it will NOT drain totally. so the fish
should survive a serious leak. mice love to eat through the thin plastic
right at the water edge and live in the dry spot under the liner. hehe.
they can get a drink of water real easy this way. hehe.
