The link you posted didn't take me directly to the info page on Phraetobius
(that may be why no responses). It took a little google search and a few
clicks, but I did find it. You're right - this is a very interesting little
species. Catfish living their whole life among leaf litter? Amazing! For
those of you who haven't checked it out yet, try this link...

I'm actually heading down to Belize in a few weeks to co-instruct a field
course. I know the distribution of Phraetobius doesn't extend that far
north, but now I'm tempted to dig around in the leaf litter along some of
the streams I visit. In reference to many of the recent postings on
Candiru, you can bet I'll limit myself to TERRESTRIAL peeing.
