NANFA-- ling?

The March 2002 Skin Diver magazine has an article called 50 Dives in 50
States. For Montana's Big Horn Canyon they say "Divers will see carp,
smallmouth bass, and an occasional trout, ling, or walleye."

What's a ling? I think I know...
